What is New Employee Safety Training?
New employee safety training is a training program on occupational health and safety that must be provided to all employees before they start work, as mandated by law. Many may still be unsure about the proper legal guidelines for organizing this training course.
Today, we will summarize the organization of safety training for new employees.
What is the Course Called?
The course can be referred to as the “New Employee Course,” “New Hire Course,” or “6-Hour Safety Course.” But what is the official name?
According to the announcement of the Safety Act of 2011, there is no specific name for the course; it simply states that:
Section 16 requires employers to provide training in safety, occupational health, and work environment management to executives, supervisors, and all employees to ensure safe management and operation.
In cases where an employer hires new employees, changes jobs, changes work locations, or changes machinery or equipment that could pose risks to the employees' lives, bodies, mental well-being, or health, the employer must provide training to all employees before they start work.
Therefore!
all companies—whether private, factories, or contractors—must organize safety training for all employees before they begin work and must issue certificates of training to all employees as required by law.
