ROPE ACCESS Training
5 days
As a member company of IRATA, we operate with confidence, certainty, expertise, and proven value in our services worldwide. The training that IRATA technicians undergo follows a rigorous curriculum designed to ensure that personnel are committed to working safely. Our training instructors are experts in rope access, not just general height work instructors, and have many years of experience.
IRATA has been validated in task analysis and safety specific to the field, developed over the past 18 years. This ensures that our training programs maintain the highest standards in safety and effectiveness
THE LEAD AUTHORITY IN INDUSTRIAL ROPE ACCESS
Industrial rope access has been developed by IRATA International for over 25 years, becoming the primary choice for various types of work, including offshore oil and gas, construction projects, and civil engineering. This success is attributed to rigorous training and strict working practices, which have resulted in an unparalleled safety record year after year. The environmental, efficiency, and economic benefits have led to widespread international support for industrial rope access over other methods.
Internationally Recognized Rope Access Training Course
Please Read Before Deciding to Enroll
Assessment: An independent assessor will evaluate participants through written questions and practical examinations.
Course Duration:
Total of 5 days, with 4 days dedicated to training and 1 day for assessment by an independent evaluator.
Recertification Period:
Certification at all levels is valid for 3 years.
Refresher Training:
Refresher training is available for technicians who have not practiced rope access for more than 6 months, requiring one day of training.
All training equipment is included in the course fee. Upon successful assessment, participants will receive an IRATA certificate, which is also covered in the course fee
Training Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, in good health, and free from disabilities or medical conditions that could hinder safe work performance. They should possess physical strength, agility, coordination, and the ability to withstand environmental stressors such as heat, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
Applicants must provide a health certificate issued by a doctor within the past month when applying for training.
Level 2 and 3:
Applicants wishing to upgrade must demonstrate proficiency in both practical and theoretical aspects of their current level before attending the upgrade course.
For example, a Level 1 technician upgrading to Level 2 must be able to perform all Level 1 techniques and answer all Level 1 theory questions. Additional training may be necessary for those lacking the required skills, as the upgrade course has limited time for knowledge review. A pre-assessment is recommended to check current abilities.
Applicants seeking an upgrade must ensure: a) Their current certification is valid on the date of the assessment. b) They have at least one year of experience and 1,000 recorded working hours, signed off in their Logbook.
Note:
1 year of experience means the technician is eligible for an upgrade assessment one year and one day after the previous assessment. For example, if the Level 1 assessment was on April 1, 2014, the earliest possible Level 2 assessment would be on April 2, 2015.
Upgraded rope access technicians must verify their Logbook’s accuracy and submit it to the training company of IRATA International when starting the training course.
If the Logbook is lost, technicians must apply for a replacement Logbook and ensure it is complete and verified before the assessment.
Technicians with expired certifications should refer to Procedure 032 for IRATA registration.
